A New Debate on Female Circumcision

Visually pleasing? We agree that it is done by women but it is only "visually pleasing" to men. Only men will consider them more pure and more likely to be chosen for marriage by a man. Female circumcision is run by a patriarchal society and therefore controlled by men

These procedures are done in sterile conditions with trained doctors and women CHOOSE to have this done and the boys getting circumcised have no future painful intercourse, painful urination or even more painful childbearing and birth complications.

I think that its another example of female control by men! I believe that these women don't choose to get it done rather they are pressured into doing so by family, friends, society and the men.
It stops women being able to experience the same pleasures as men and this is an outrage. It represses women as men do not have to experience anything such as this!!

We agree. Men don't experience any of this.
And some people say that they do through male circumcision.
Women experience child labor pains, sexual intercourse pains and urinating difficulties due to female genital mutilation which men never have to experience through male circumcision.
This is why female circumcision has been re-labelled female GENITAL MUTILATION.
It completely is another example of female control by men.
It drives me crazy! How can you compare such a primative practice, with such horrible consequences, to a bit of skin taken off the tip of a penis!
Let all of those men who say its similar to FGM get their genitals hacked at with a dirty bit of glass or something similar
haha yes and what is completely disgusting is that the women who perform the procedures are usually partially blind... a blind woman with no medical education or training performing "surgery" on young girls with no choice.
